Dhaka Residential Model College

The Department of Physics of Dhaka Residential Model College started its journey in 1960 at Mohammadpur, Dhaka-120, when it was a Residential Model School. Then, physics laboratory was established to purpose the practical classes of the students of science in the S.S.C. level in 1967, college section was started in DRMC, then this department was extended its Curriculum up to H.S.C. level. The departmental laboratory is situated at 1st floor of Academic Building one in the college campus.  In 1993, the departmental activities were extended to another shift, which is known as day shift. Now college has two shifts one is morning shift and another is day shift. Each shift has common physics laboratory. In 2000, the physics Laboratory was increased its facility for better services of the students.

Department of physics, Dhaka Residential Model College provides quality education for both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of physics.  The Department ensures students   prepared for today’s technology-driven society and the competitive examination of higher education. Now, we can show the practical class to the students by multimedia projector. We have computer of high configuration for all purposes of the department. All facilities have been provided to the students with proper instruments.

We have 14 qualified faculty members with a Laboratory.
